vovloIn 2009 as many as 3977 buses produced in Poland – it is 656 pcs more than a year before.

Traditionally it is Germany that is the main market of our export and in 2009 we sold 1030 buses to our western neighbours. Sweden comes second with the result of 414pcs where, interestingly both concerns and smaller Polish producers like Autosan or Solbus export to. Great Britain (393pcs) comes third and for the first time is on such high place in the country ranking which is the merit of the only Polish manufacturer who exports buses there, i.e. Scania. Norway comes fourth (324pcs) which is also to a large extent one-producer success – which this time is Volvo.

This good export result achieved in 2009 is the outcome of increased foreign sales by all companies composing the “foursome” i.e.:

  • MAN: export increased by157 pcs. / + 11.65% in comparison with 2008;
  • Solaris: export increased by 292 pcs. / + 53.67% / It is the best dynamics of foreign sales growth of all producers;
  • Volvo: export increased by 14 pcs. / + 1.93%;
  • Scania: export increased by 163 pcs. / + 29.15%.
