According to the daily Rzeczpospolita, a meeting with representatives of the car maker FSO is expected at the offices of Nissan Europe in Rolle, Switzerland, by the end of this week.
If both companies agree to work together, they will most likely sign a contract at the end of this year and production will be launched next year.
FSO president, Janusz Woźniak, who is to represent FSO during the negotiations, has refused to make any comments.
According to the daily, it is possible that Nissan’s negotiations with the Polish car maker are a way to put pressure on the Spanish to make the trade unions at Nissan’s plant to make more concessions.
