Brose laid the foundation stone for a new development and production location in Serbia on 6 March, with guests from politics, business and the media attending. Beginning in the summer of 2021 Brose will launch series production of drives and electronics for cooling fans at the 220,000 square meter site in Pančevo near Belgrade.

Hyundai Motor has announced the start of production for the Kona Electric at its Czech production plant, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC). Production will start at the beginning of March 2020.

FCA is to install Solar Power Production Units at its Mirafiori complex, consisting of photovoltaic panels covering 150,000 square meters capable of producing 15 MW of electricity. This will contribute to a more than 5 kt reduction in CO2 emissions and supply sustainable energy to charge the electric models manufactured on site.

With demand for zero-emission vehicles continuously rising, Hyundai Motor will triple the availability of its Kona Electric for customers in Europe. Starting in March 2020, the company will introduce the Kona Electric in its Czech manufacturing plant, as well as increasing existing supply from its Ulsan plant in South Korea. This will drastically reduce delivery times for customers in Europe.
