Category Purchasing Manager

Job location: Bielsko-Biała
Job Description:

  • Develop Category Business Plans (Strategies) together with Purchasing Team
  • Lead the optimization of  global supply base for applicable categories
  • Manage  the local purchasing team in Poland
  • Perform analysis and benchmarking of the supplier market
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives
  • Negotiate price and conditions for parts and services for new projects
  • Order material for production
  • Participate in change management process
  • Negotiate and establish agreements and contracts
  • Drive supplier quality improvements
  • Challenge suppliers to improve in different areas prioritized by the purchasing team
  • Cooperate with other reginal / global  Commodity Managers to optimize Shiloh supply chain for applicable categories
  • Administrate business
  • Follow up and report agreed tasks and KPIs

Job Requirements:

  • University or College degree, preferably Technical, Legal or Economy
  • Experience in Automotive sector is preferred. Experience in technical/industrial sector is mandatory.
  • Min 4 years in international business
  • Experience in strategic purchasing
  • Experience in leading a team will be an asset
  • Good experience in working in global organization
  • Fluency in Polish and English. Knowledge of German language will be an asset
  • Ability to take initiatives independently
  • Ability to drive initiatives and motivate people
  • Ability to co-operate and build relations internally and towards suppliers
  • Business acumen
  • Ability to  deliver in time
  • Analytical skills

  • Travel 10- 25 % of time will be required
